Episode 4

"No one wins. One side just loses more slowly." - Prez
As the homicide unit's newest detective Greggs is assigned to the high-profile witness case in an attempt to stall the investigation until after the election. Freamon joins Bunk on finding his missing suspect and realizes the connection to the lack of violence from the Stanfield Organization. Freamon suggests the suspect has been killed and his body hidden. Marlo loses big in a poker game and decides to take over Bodie's corner. Chris and Snoop assess Michael as a potential recruit. Proposition Joe manipulates Omar into robbing Marlo's next card game. Watkins becomes more angry with Royce when he sees he has reneged on a promise to back his protege Marla Daniels for a council seat. Randy is caught truanting and becomes a reluctant informant for the teachers.

What do you think about Michael? Why do you think he acts so strangely when Cutty wants to drive him home?

What do you think of Sherrod and Bubbles?

What is your opinion of the school system? What do you think the writers are trying to say?

  1. I think that the writers are trying to get a message across that all children should have the right to have an education even if they are cocky and abusive! Some children are quite intelligent yet they are portrayed as being uneducated.

I still think Bubbles is a great character as he is trying to help out his nephew to stay in school, however due to him not listening and continuing to sell drugs on the corner, Bubbles has to take a punch in the nose from a desperate druggy just for talking to his nephew! ... In my opinion i think that this shows us just how desperate the offenders are in that they would do anything for money and drugs!

I think Michael could be a sly character because he acts strange and hides around the corner when Cutty wants to take him home safely. I think he is going to forget about school and his education and join up with Snoop and Chris!

  2. i cant understand y michael is the way he is yet, he just doesn't seem to want to get involved in anything dodgy unless he really needs the money.

i like bubbles but i think Sherrod is just shy and isnt as tough as the other guys on the street, hence y he never helped bubbles when he was getting beaten up.

the school system is a bit lenient but i think they have to be because it is in a working class area and they do not have enuff money to make it better and also most/all of the students are working class and work on the streets so they are not really into their education. I think they school is just making do with what they have

  3. Michael is still a bit of a mystery to me, I don't really know what to think of him as he seems like he could be quite unpredictable with his strange behaviour.
I feel sorry for Bubbles as he would do anything for Sherrod yet the fact that Sherrod stood there and allowed him to get beaten up shows that this is not a 2-way thing. I think Sherrod is emotionally very weak but tries to hide this to maintain respect for people who work on the coners (hence, not showing emotion when Bubbles gets beaten up).
The school system seems very corrupt but I feel sorry for the students as they know that even after school, their "fate" is on the streets and there is no real escape from it.
