Episode 4 - The political part of the storyline is hard to unerstand similarly with the police investigation team. When the female inspector is assigned to the murder case, the male members tease her because she is a beginner. This shows how even in seriouss organisations, there are some humourous events.
ReplyDeleteMarlo's poker game is disrupted by Omar who steals all the winnings. This was a set up to get Marlo to join Joe's gang. This can be baffling because in order to get someone on to your side you have to do it forcefully, usually through violence, which shows that it is very hard to trust people in the drug dealing business.
Randy is another funny character because he is very money-minded and determined to make profits. He grassed on his friend for vandelism so that the school wouldn't tell his foster mother that he was bunking lessons. Another aspect that shows dishonesty.
Episode 5 - I start to feel sorry for Bubbles because he gets beaten up again by another drug addict. Although society may view him as a bad parent or guardian, he still took Sherrod in but threw him out when he found out he was truanting. This shows that first impressions can be wrong as we grow to see Bubbles as a caring and kind character even though he is a drug addict.
Marlo (angry at the poker game incident) wants to get Omar back and tries to frame him for murder. I feel sorry for Prez also because he is stuggling to control the pupils in his class.
Episode 6 - Marlo is forced to involve himself in drug dealing by his mother to which I found shocking. I was surprised at Randy's courage to own up to the teachers for his involvement in the murder regarding Lex.
I was glad when Carcetti won the election because he is a far determined Mayor than Royce to reduce the crime rates.
Omar being arrested shows that Marlo is a clever character and has power.
Episode 7 - This episode included Royce and Carcetti settling their differences and making peace but violence aswell. (Namond and Sherrod fighting for territory).
I feel glad for Prez because he has a good day with his students (apart from the corner kids).
Greggs is also making herself look better as she is starting to solve the murder investigation.
Episode 8 - I was surprised when Namond gave an enthuiastic as to what makes them a good corner boy. Similarly we are surprised to find out that Michael is the dominant breadwinner of the family which explains why he is so protective over his brother and doesn't want to take money off of Chris.
Episode 9 - omar gets released from prison and makes a deal with bunk that he's not going shoot anyone for being framed. Andre gets killed by Chris and Snoop and we start to become familiar with this. Michael approaches Marlo to get his step-father killed because he has that much hate for him which is surprising because we didn't expect Michael to be like that.
episode 5: when michael rejects marlos offer, i think this shows he is a good character and doesnt want to get involved in the game.
ReplyDeleteits funny when the kids are talking about zombies and get scared of the man walking the alleyway , they runaway houtin 'zombie'. i tihnk this just shows the age of them and jus how young and immature they really are, but also shows an innocence about them.
prez is shown to be too nice as he lets the detention kids go, no discipline.
episode 6: the fact that marlo set up the police coz he knew about the camera, shows that marlo is clever and could portray that not even the police can outsmart him.
it was sweet of prez to help out dukie. shows prez genuinely cares about the kids.
randy fear about his foster mother leads him to amitting he knows about a murder.
the special class is for the disrupive kids, allowing the other kids to learn.
episode 7: the idea of wrapping books round omar to help if somene attempts to stab him. The corruption of the police is noticeable when he gets tipped off.
prez's teaching is good and i think he is helping the kids.
i feel sorry for bubbles when asks the poice for help. shows just how corrupted the police is in baltimore.
episode 8: prez lesson shows me that the kids are smart when it comes to common sense but academically not so clever.
it was interesting to see how educated the specil class are in the corner and the game, and how they acted in the restaurant, shows me that they do have a conscience.
we learn micheals home situation and the fact hes the breadwinner, explains ys he so protective of his little brother.
chris and snoop are very ruthless in the way they just murder people without any hesitation. however, i still like their characters and i like the way they get along together.
episode 9: i feel sory for bubbles in this episode. he asked for help from the police but was let down.
Prez helps out the kids in school and even out of school by agreeing to buy some stuff for randy online using his credit card.
im glad omar is out of prison.
it is sad when andre is going to get killed by chris and snoop, coz he knew what was coming and was even asking them to do it in his house so his ppl know.
micheal goes to marlo to get his stepfather killed as he cant go to social services, but i feel marlo will ask him to join his gang in return.
episode 8 -
ReplyDeleteNamond is getting even more interested and caught up with the whole idea of being a cornerboy which is really surprising as him and his family feel that its what's best for him and that it is a normal thing for him.
Michael takes care of his family and is really protective over his brother.he provides money for his family as his parents are too caught up with drugs, they have no time to look after Michael's little brother in which Michael is the parent as well as a brother to his little brother.
episode 9-
Omar is released from prison finally after being set up by Marlo. He wouldn't try getting back at them just yet as he set a deal with bunk.Marlo gets michael to kill his step-father because of his hatred towards him and i feel that he just wants to release his anger through boxing , instead of releasing it out in being a cornerboy and getting into trouble that way. However this was very surprising because it shows another side to michael, it shows the violent side to michael.
Episode 6- We found out how powerful and clever Marlo really is because he know's there is a camera watching him and he manages to set up the police and they fall for it.
ReplyDeleteThey came up with an idea for the disruptive kids to go in a seperate class so the others could concerntrate and learn.
Episode 7- The police is really corrupted because they get paid by Marlo to pretend they havent seen anything when one of his people try to stab omar in jail and also with Bubbles when he asked for help, the policeman just took more of his things rather than trying to help find the person who keeps robbing him.
Episode 8- It's weird how naymond's mum is forcing him to be a corner boy just to make money.
Michael however doesn't want to get into all that he doesnt want to owe anyone anything. He's really protective over his little brother and is the main person who takes care of the family as the mother is on drugs.
Episode 9- Omar gets realised out of prison. Again the police didnt help Bubbles and he gets everyting taken from him again by that guy. Michael goes to Marlo and says he wants his step father gone because he cant go to social services because he doesnt want to be taken away he just wants his step father gone.
This shows he has a lot of anger built up inside of him.
Prez really cares about these kids learning something not just passing exams, he finds different ways of helping them learn and he helps them out personally to by trying to also become friends with them. He is a really nice character.
